Back at It

I am going to attempt to re-start my photography blog after being shamed and called many less than civil names by my family for not continuing Colorbox.   So..... I thought I might try a daily posting of one photograph rather than so many at a time.  I will likely get lazy and skip some days but I will try to post regularly.  And I'll try to mix it up from all my digital work that started in 2007.  Sorry if I repeat some shots but it's hard to keep it all organized.  Here goes....a Great Egret from Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuse on the coast of Georgia.

I Waked Up

I am really good at taking naps.  Basically, I have been asleep since November.  I woke up to go to the Rose Bowl and again to take a few pics this winter on Jekyll and I will put those pics up soon.  But I thought I would start with some recent Virginia barns.    Just some warm ups to get back in the game.

Insane

Using a net to catch shrimp off Jekyll.  Seining.  More like insaning.  Or, if you do it fast, usaning.

Flutterbees

I have not done much to this site since Patagonia but it's time to get back to work.  Here is some action from our Flutterbee Bush that I shot yesterday.  Flutterbees got their name from one of our young Spanish exchange students who got overly excited watching moths self combust when they got too close to our camp fire many summers ago.  In his excitement he could not think of the correct name in English, but his name for them seems even better.  They make a nice substitute for fireworks on a hot summer night.
