Jekyll and the costal islands of Georgia are the place to be for watching birds (not The Byrds). We took a trip around the island with an avid watcher and saw everything from Sanderlings to Bald Eagles. Some of these shots of fresh water pond birds are from the Harris Neck NWR just a short drive up the coast. The last shot is of a guy doing some birding of his own.
My retirement over the past 3 years has allowed me to pursue a hobby that I've had interest in most of my adult life. This web log basically represents a means of sharing my photographic images with my family and friends.

Driving Ms. Daisy
I had the most wonderful afternoon driving around the with my beautiful daughter, Daisy. She teaches at Charlottesville High and is herself a photographer who possesses "the eye". She recently invited me to join her for a day of capturing whatever we could find in nature (and otherwise) around the area of Staunton, Va. Not many fathers get such opportunities, and I tried to make the most of it. Daisy, you cannot imagine how much I appreciated the day with you.
