My retirement over the past 3 years has allowed me to pursue a hobby that I've had interest in most of my adult life. This web log basically represents a means of sharing my photographic images with my family and friends.

4 Girls in a Bar
I wouldn't want to live in a large city, but for those who do the photo ops abound. Here is some more Chicago stuff, and some from a recent brief scurry around NYC. The first shot is 4 girls heads while they were drinking in a bar. The last shot is 2 people after returning home from the bar. Hummm, maybe I would like the city.

Charge Of The Light Brigade
Went to Chicago for a wedding recently and had time in the early morning to walk the city and enjoy the light. What do you photograph in the city? People and architecture. But really, like everywhere......I am just capturing brigades of light.

To Everything Tern, Tern, Tern
Jekyll and the costal islands of Georgia are the place to be for watching birds (not The Byrds). We took a trip around the island with an avid watcher and saw everything from Sanderlings to Bald Eagles. Some of these shots of fresh water pond birds are from the Harris Neck NWR just a short drive up the coast. The last shot is of a guy doing some birding of his own.

Driving Ms. Daisy
I had the most wonderful afternoon driving around the with my beautiful daughter, Daisy. She teaches at Charlottesville High and is herself a photographer who possesses "the eye". She recently invited me to join her for a day of capturing whatever we could find in nature (and otherwise) around the area of Staunton, Va. Not many fathers get such opportunities, and I tried to make the most of it. Daisy, you cannot imagine how much I appreciated the day with you.

Wing Walker Wife
I bet my wife that she would not stand on the wings of that antique biplane. She agreed to do it if I would clean up the kitchen for a month. Here she is doing a wing walker act at 150mph stuck to the plane with abc bubblegum on her tennis shoes. She must hate to do dishes.
