My retirement over the past 3 years has allowed me to pursue a hobby that I've had interest in most of my adult life. This web log basically represents a means of sharing my photographic images with my family and friends.

My Other Brother Larry
Larry helped me cut some branches and trees off of the property last week (he owns the chain saw). While we were working, I noticed the light on Dogwood trees in my neighbors back yard. She has let the broom sage grow on some of her land and it now glows in the late evening light. Here are some evening shots of her back yard. I added a shot of Larry and I working. He is the taller, less handsome one.

Ephemeral Perennial of Spring
Where is Trillium Heaven? Why, in Green Hill Park of course. Every April we watch a large wooded hillside in the park spring to life with "Trillium Grandiflourm" blooms. The flowers are small, so the overall effect is not so grand as the individual blooms when inspected close up. Perfect for macro photography! Here are examples of this year's show along with a wild violet that was vying for attention. Trillium, it gives me such a thrillium.
